Hey Everyone,
If you’re here reading this, then you know I’m getting ready to play a few “special shows”. Here’s what’s happening. As you may know, my new album, “Illuminations” is out on November 15th, and for me, the best part of putting out an album is that I then get to go on tour.
Going on tour involves so many steps to get ready for what people eventually see as the big production.
The first step is simple. I sit down in my living room at the piano and play. I try to explore the songs in a different light and also just practice as much as possible to get the songs in my hands and voice. I also think about playing songs I haven't played on tour in years. And then I might bring in my guitarist to work more songs out. All of this happens before we move it into a more formal rehearsal space with the full band and orchestra.
However, this time around, I want to try something different. I want to bring my Living Room to YOU. I want the "first step" for THIS tour to be in front of you.
You may have guessed where this is leading.... I've booked a couple of small theaters around the country and I want you to come and help me plan my tour. Everyone who comes to these special shows will receive a copy of the “Illuminations” CD with your ticket. The specific information for each show is listed below.
I hope to see you all soon!
Josh
November 6 - McCallum Theatre, Palm Desert CA
November 7 - Balboa Theatre, San Diego, CA
November 10 - Granada Theatre, Santa Barbara, CA
November 13 - Shubert Theatre, New Haven, CT
You can go to Josh's web page for more information on the shows. I am guessing there will be a ticket link posted on Friday. Of course, if you are a member of FOJG, there's a pre-sale tomorrow, October 21.

Have you seen what the price of a ticket is? That's what I'm really curious about. Of course, I've probably done enough bitching about the price of things lately. ;)
ReplyDeleteDang tickets were gone so fast. I could only get 1 ticket to the San Diego show. All the pairs were gone within like 3 minutes of the public sale. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteI also thought it was weird that all the seats were the same price, whether orchestra or balcony. I managed to snag one center orchestra seat. I'm kinda tempted to sell for a monster profit, but I'll probably go. Seems like a rare type of show.
